Kim Crum-Derr
I started teaching Fitness when I was 19 years old to help pay for my college art supplies and to get to use the gym for free. I have been teaching fitness for over 30 years. Please don't do math. I am a "seasoned " teacher, (not old).

Fitness is very important to me otherwise why would I have done it for so long? I think fitness helps people to move comfortably through their day and their life. Pilates especially helps to retain that youthful strength, vigor and flexibility that is needed in every stage of life.

If you attend my class you may hear some funny stories about my life as an elementary art schoolteacher or at the very least be allowed to point out there is glitter on my face. I have two children who also provide a lot of entertaining stories. I like to have something to talk about during our planks. In the summers I work on my writing as I have one novel published and many more to go. I have also published some articles in research journals and various local papers although some of that was pre-children accomplishments.

I have a house full of various pets and a crazy busy schedule. I have had injuries and learned firsthand the value of rehabilitative movement. I empathize with how hard it is to include fitness into your life, but I promise it is worth the hassle. See you soon in class!
